Our Executive Director, Mrs. Grace John Kenyi Geri, participated in the Regional Gender Forum (RGM) and the We Cannot Wait (WCW) project closure meeting, held from November 11th to 12th, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, Uganda.
The Gender Forum, which was organized by SIHA Network with support from the Dutch Government, has brought women leaders and activists from South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, and Uganda. This Forum was the final activity of the WCW project and marked the project’s close. The event was held under the theme “Women at the Frontlines: Sustaining Collective Power and Feminist Leadership in Times of Crisis.”
The WCW project (2021–2025) has advanced women’s political, legal, and economic rights through feminist coalitions across the Horn of Africa. The final Regional Gender Meeting consolidated lessons, highlighted collective achievements, and co-developed strategies for future feminist advocacy and fundraising.
